EDITOR’s Note - September - October 2016
Life is a blessing, if we have a dream. Our blessings are multiplied, if our
dreams become our aim and fi nally the aims sow the seeds of success and
contentment. Each and every day we are blessed with so many things,
starting with the fact that we wake up in the morning to another day ahead.
Isn’t it true that each day we have something to be grateful for? Sometimes we
feel we had a great day and one such day during this edition was when I met
Ar. Qutub Mandviwala, an established architect with a humble heart.
As life evolves – our buildings and cities should evolve
also, so we have a physical framework tailored to our ideal lifestyles – rather
than being forced to live in ways imposed upon us by outdated structures of
the past. Architecture is not the goal – but a bridge to reach the goal. The goal
is to maximize the potential for unfolding human life to the fullest. And in our
own humble way – that’s what we try to do.” His design sensibilities changed
my mindset and I am sure our interaction will give you a better perception
about architecture and one will certainly learn to respect their surroundings.
